7 years ago on a Friday morning a wonderful gift was given to me...........Connor.

It was his birthday yesterday. How the time flies. It doesn't seem like that long ago. That is scary to me. We had a great day. Laser Tag birthday with friends in the morning, visiting in the afternoon with Sister, Vince, Luba, and Tyrone, and then dinner at Japanese Village. It was the kids first time there and husband too. They all liked it. Connor talked about how he had seen it on the commercials. He was stoked to see the "action". He dressed up nice in his Sunday best for the occassion. He looked so cute and Elliot was wide eyed for the whole thing. We have a tradition of Sister making the kids' cakes for their birthday's. She asks them every year what they want for a cake and for the last 5 cakes(that's right, 5) she has had a request for Army. This year she was ecstatic when he said he didn't want Army. Quickly that was deflated with his request for a Han Solo cake!!! How was she ever supposed to pull that off? Anyway, she satisfied him. He was very happy with his cake she made for him. 3 tiers with a red dye #40(his favourite) tier on top with Star Wars figures all around.

Ducks

So, Connor was doing a project in school that involved math(graphing) and ducks......and then oh, what do you know I ended up babysitting ducks one night. Oh fun. The germ-o-phobe brings ducks in her house!!! They shat in my tub!!!! What was I thinking.....

No really, it was fun and the kids thought it was the best thing ever. They loved it. The ducks were cute. They snuggle up and watch T.V. with you on your lap. Sure they might poop on you on the towel you have under them but hey, I've had worse, I think.....

They were quiet all night and then in the morning, look out. They were noisy and wanted ATTENTION. For dinner we fed them spaghetti(plain mushed up). Who knew? They gobbled it.

It was an experience for sure and I don't think the boys will every forget it.

Marathon Blogging

I am such a bad blogger these days. Anyway, here comes a marathon.

First, Glee was fantastic this week. Perhaps I got a little verklempt. Long lost mom's, Puck finding he actually cared, Finn sticking up for what's right, Lady Ga Ga, Kiss.....wow! It was great.

And while on the subject of T.V. Grey's Anatomy was absolutely the best ever. I could not get off of the couch even though there was LOT's of night-time chores to get done during T.V. time. It was so edgy that I couldn't sleep after. Heard from other people that I wasn't the only one that happened to. Good to find out that I wasn't one of those weird finale addicts turned freak.

To top it off Idol was last night and it was excellent. Not to mention my fave won. Lee is a great singer. I think he has a nice voice that will fit for many. I like Mama Sox too and she sings absolutely effortlessly but Lee really is something the music industry needs. All of the acts were good.

A man is like disco night at the bowling alley: fun or just depressing? It's a matter of perspective.
